Flipbook Rasterizer

A small desktop app that turns a PDF into a fast, lag-free interactive flipbook — page-turn animation, pen annotation tool, zoom. Everything runs locally on your computer; your PDF is never uploaded anywhere. Choose to save a single file (good for emailing, or handing to someone), or a website folder (loads instantly once hosted, instead of making a visitor's browser download the whole book before it shows page 1).

Mac: "Apple could not verify..." warning

This app isn't signed with an Apple developer certificate, so macOS Gatekeeper will warn you the first time you open it. To open it anyway:

  1. Unzip the download, then Control-click (or right-click) Flipbook Rasterizer.app and choose Open.
  2. In the dialog that appears, click Open again.

You only need to do this once — after that it opens normally. (If your Mac doesn't show an Open option in that first dialog, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to the mention of this app.)

Windows: "Windows protected your PC" warning

This app isn't signed with a paid Microsoft certificate, so Windows SmartScreen will flag it the first time you run it. To run it anyway:

  1. When the blue "Windows protected your PC" screen appears, click More info.
  2. Click the Run anyway button that appears.
